Zeptonics Readies Ultra-Low-Latency ‘Fan-out' Network Switch

Sydney, Australia-based network equipment provider Zeptonics is preparing to roll out a beta version of its ZeptoLink switch in the third quarter of this year, which will provide ultra-low-latency packet replication and forwarding, geared to the distribution needs of latency-sensitive market data consumers.

ZeptoLink is a 50-port, layer 1 circuit switch that can transmit data between ports in about 5 nanoseconds by leveraging bit-level forwarding-which does not require any packet decoding-to
