Datacenter hosting and co-location provider Equinix has completed a $48.9 million phase-two expansion of its HK2 IBX datacenter in Hong Kong's New Territories, creating an additional 1,000 cabinets of hosting space to the initial 450 cabinets, to meet strong demand from clients in the Asia-Pacific region, which vendor officials say is its fastest-growing geographical market. The HK2 facility offers co-location, interconnection, peering and cross-connect between networks, as well as access to the Equinix Marketplace of partner services.
