Direct Edge Taps Exegy for Consolidated Ticker

Jersey City-based ECN-turned-exchange Direct Edge will this week roll out a hosted, consolidated feed of data from US equity markets to enable clients co-located in its datacenter to trade on other exchanges via Direct Edge’s infrastructure to reduce connectivity costs.

Direct Edge is creating the feed—dubbed Edge Ticker Plant—using dedicated appliances from St. Louis, MO-based hardware ticker plant vendor Exegy. Trading firms can cross-connect to the ticker plant from their own co-lo presences
