As regulations compel firms to capture and store increasing amounts of data for compliance purposes, cost efficiencies enacted during the financial crisis are remaining part of firms’ long-term practices, with end-user firms, exchanges and data vendors not anticipating a return to pre-crisis spending habits in the near term, according to panels at the Asia Pacific Financial Information Conference.
