Kevin Formby, president and CEO, Datacom Systems

Data network and trading telephony provider IPC will deploy network monitoring tap and switch provider Datacom Systems' TradeView appliance globally to perform real-time monitoring of market data feeds in IPC's Connexus financial extranet, to help the vendor monitor data flows across its network.

In addition to TradeView -- which is part of the first suite of products launched under Datacom's new Datacom Trading Solutions division (IMD, Oct. 31, 2012), and performs multicast gap analysis and microburst detection -- IPC will also roll out Datacom's network taps and aggregation switches.

Datacom president and chief executive Kevin Formby says TradeView will enable IPC to monitor real-time exchange market data at rates of up to 60 million messages per second at "substantially lower cost than traditional approaches."
