Markit Launches Chat Rooms on Collaboration Services

The software is compatible with existing compliance tools such as Actiance and Global Relay, which means the service will appeal to firms currently investigating chat room compliance following the LIBOR rate-fixing scandal and recent revelations about the currency trading cartel known as “The Dream Team.” In both cases, traders used instant messaging in online chat rooms to collude and manipulate benchmark rates.

Since launching its Collaboration Services open messaging network in October 2013
