SEC’s Stein: SEC Needs Data Analysis Office
Commisioner advocates for SEC-level chief data officer to oversee data management and analysis.
At the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s SIFMA Ops 2015 conference in San Diego last week, Stein argued that the increase in complexity of data management and analysis over the past decade means the SEC needs to dedicate an office specifically to data, led by a chief data officer.
