OpenMAMA Sets Out Six-Point Development Plan

The development efforts aim to boost uptake of the open-source OpenMAMA messaging layer.

The new OpenMAMA advisory group, which was launched in July and comprises five tier-one investment banks, has whittled down a shortlist of 15 initial proposals to six areas of focus over the course of two meetings—a face-to-face in August, and a second on Sept. 24.

The six areas are:Local data sharing, which is a mechanism to allow "consuming" OpenMAMA applications to share data locally; Publisher events, a new feature to allow delivery of non-delivery notifications for published messages
