TTC has been involved in a project to reduce that amount of data it captures to improve CPU utilization for some time. But more recently, the vendor has begun to ignore more "bad data"─such as stale prices, or prices for illiquid assets that don't change during any given trading day, says Alexander Lamb, head of business development for the Americas at TTC, adding that "substituting poor data with better─but still estimated─data," brings its Janus risk management platform "into line with reality
