LME Bows Third-Party Data Fees, Licensing Portal
The move brings LME in line with other exchanges around data usage for non-trading purposes.
From April 4, LME will make it obligatory for firms to obtain a Usage License through its Online Licensing Portal (OLP), which will also go live on the same day.
The license means that firms accessing LME or LBMA PGM (Platinum Group Metals) market data either directly from LME or indirectly via data vendors for valuation or pricing activities, or as a reference price in transactions, will be required to enter into a direct agreement with the LME.
