Symphony Preps Apps, Life Beyond Chat

The messaging startup has laid out its roadmap for forays into the mobile and content-sharing spaces.

Speaking at a conference last week, Gurle says Symphony submitted an iOS app to Apple’s app store “two weekends ago,” and hopes Apple will make the app available as soon as it is validated, as the vendor has seen engagement rates “rocket” when client firms also deploy the secure, compliant—yet “as easy to use as WhatsApp”—mobile application as a means of accessing Symphony’s messaging platform.

The vendor is also currently working on a version for Android devices, which will enter beta testing
