As DJIA Sees Uptick, Indexes Face Change

Not only an important indicator of the markets, the Dow and other leading indexes also reflect the wealth of the nation, since so many ordinary investors-as well as institutional funds-have their assets tied up in vehicles that closely track these indexes.
