In the present climate, firms aren’t about to replace an existing market data delivery platform wholesale. But to cut costs, they are considering disintermediation--cutting out the middleman, a.k.a. the traditional data vendor.

Going directly to the source of the data may appear to make fiscal sense. But firms need to consider
