Volatility around the time of the collapse of Lehman Brothers last year caused issues for firms without sufficient capacity to handle peak data volumes, though in a poll of audience members, only 7 percent admitted experiencing any system failures that disrupted their business activity, 28 percent said they had capacity issues that required emergency measures, 24 percent said they experienced some system stress but did not need any follow-up work, and 41 percent said their systems were operating
