CBB Can't Use MDC's Marketpower As Cantor, CBB & CBB's Backers Settle

NEW YORK--A settlement reached recently in the Delaware Court of Chancery puts an end to the Chicago Board Brokerage's (CBB) usage of the Marketpower software from Market Data Corp. (MDC), which is closely tied to Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P.
The settlement by Cantor, CBB and CBB's parent companies, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and Prebon Yamane, prohibits the CBB from using the Marketpower-based electronic bond-trading platform.
