I haven't seen a lot of recent innovation in terms of much needed automation and problem solving in this area. There was an increase in take-up of vendor business process management (BPM) applications about three to five years ago, with notable interest on the asset management side, but the core issues of data reliability and timeliness haven't significantly improved.
