ISO Entity Identification Work Progresses

ZURICH - The International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) business entity identification work is already starting to show results, with the Swift-proposed Bank Identifier Code (BIC) extension expected to be accepted and the re-convened Working Group 8 (WG8) for the international business entity identifier (IBEI) having had its kick-off meeting, officials tell Inside Reference Data.

At the ISO TC68 meeting in Helsinki in June, members discussed Swift's proposal to expand the BIC standard
