Firms Focus on OSI Details as Deadline Looms

NEW YORK - The deadline for the 2010 conversion to the new options symbology in the US is fast approaching, but market participants are still only just learning about the exact scope of the Options Symbology Initiative (OSI), officials tell Inside Reference Data.

The OSI has been discussed at several industry events this month - at the SIFMA show in New York, at a full-day conference run by industry association Financial Information Forum (FIF), and in several recent OSI Symbology Committee
