Satuit Technologies has done it again. For the second straight year since 2011, Braintree, Mass.-based Satuit clinches this year’s best buy-side customer relationship management (CRM platform) award thanks to its SatuitCRM platform. The provider of CRM, reporting and portal software solutions to the buy side has 23 years’ industry experience and more than 220 buy-side clients across 35 countries.
Karen Maguire, CEO of Satuit, says the difference between SatuitCRM and other CRM platforms is that Satuit focuses purely on the asset management industry. It has also built a number of features for buy-side firms that Satuit’s competitors provide either as an option, customization, or not at all.
The “overriding theme” its clients faced this year was the intense competition in both the product and labor markets. CRM focuses increasingly on operational efficiency, getting more out of the existing CRM investments, and scrutinizing costs. Maguire says the SatuitCRM platform makes the CRM process more efficient than other similar platforms by integrating with key industry software providers to create a single repository for all data relating to the servicing of clients, tracking, and managing the sales process. “Our clients face many regulatory and compliance challenges as well as data security and privacy challenges,” Maguire says, adding that the platform provides many features to simplify compliance and to assure users that client data and reporting is distributed securely.
In 2017, the company’s focus was on enhancing its key infrastructure and operating system. Satuit complemented its existing integration partnerships with a sibling suite, Satuit Client Report Automation, consisting of a client reporting tool and an investor portal. According to the firm, clients face competition in the employment market and are increasingly embracing modern working practices. To deal with the proliferation of consumer devices and platforms accessing SatuitCRM, it overhauled its app, which is now compatible with Apple, Android and Windows smartphones and tablets, as well as its Outlook add-in, allowing Apple Mac users to push data into SatuitCRM.
Maguire says the enhancements Satuit made during 2017 have set the foundation for its plans for next year. This will include a new interface, more reporting and analytic tools, as well as enhanced mobile tools. “After 12 months of working behind the scenes to overhaul and upgrade our technology platform, starting in January 2018, we will roll out a new user interface, making it easier to customize the user-experience,” she says.
In 2018, Satuit will also release new plug-ins for key industry software to ensure that SatuitCRM integrates seamlessly with the portfolio accounting, data warehouse, sales enablement, administration, business intelligence and e-marketing software its clients depend on.
