The Midwest Stock Exchange's proposal for disseminating its quotes in the event of a Securities Industry Automation Corp. (SIAC) systems failure has drawn protests from the Information Industry Association (IIA) and the Pacific Stock Exchange. Both have written to the Securities and Exchange Commission protesting the plan, which was announced late last year (IMD, Dec 10., 1990). Other letters are expected.
