ICE Clear Europe, Clearstream Europe Collateral Management Partnership Launched
Service to allow Clearstream members use of assets for margin requirement management.
As a result of the partnership, ICE Clear Europe members will be offered direct connectivity to Clearstream's Global Liquidity Hub collateral management engine in order to deposit and use securities as collateral to cover risk exposures.
The service has been devised as a support mechanism for initiatives to bolster the stability of capital markets through increased trade clearing.
"ICE Clear Europe customers will now benefit from streamlined tri-party collateral management through our Global Liquidity Hub," says Stefan Lepp, head of global securities financing and member of the executive board of Clearstream. "This new partnership is part of our strategy of enabling customers to use the Global Liquidity Hub as a single source of liquidity to collateralize multiple global exposures in a streamlined and optimized manner. More importantly, users of the Global Liquidity Hub will be able to manage all cleared activities from a single location."
