Reuters Information Up 3% In Q1 With The Help Of Reuters Plus, 3000 Xtra

EARNINGS REPORT

LONDON--First quarter revenues for Reuters Information (RI) matched or slightly beat analysts’ expectations, rising by 3 percent using actual rates of exchange and 6 percent using comparable rates.

RI revenues were £417 million for Q1, compared with £405 million last year, largely spurred on by new orders in the US and Europe. Also, continuing sales of the Reuters Plus US equities display application as well as strong interest in 3000 Xtra (IMD, March 29, 1999) continue to buoy RI.
