First is in the diversification of the products offered by its exchange clients. Exchanges no longer want to be a venue for trading only equities or only futures, says Lars Ottersgård, Nasdaq's head of market technology. They want to offer multiple assets. When they turn to Nasdaq for trading technology, it's usually with the request for systems that can handle multiple assets.
