Taking Wolftram's Mathematics Into The Financial Marketplace

When whiz kid/MacArthur fellow Stephen Wolfram and the systems designers at Wolfram Research Inc. came up with Mathematica, there was little intention of peddling the high-powered math calculation package to the financial marketplace. Although it was originally targeted for academia, the product is quickly being adopted by Wall Street's quant community as a substitute for established products like APL and Maxima.
