Chemical Bank's RFP for a 450-position trading room in New York will be disseminated to vendors in late September, says managing director for operations and technology Tony Herriot. Herriot has previously said the RFP would be out by the end of August. The bank's traders have been working in a low-tech interim room at 277 Park Avenue since the winter. Chemical hopes that the new floor -- at 270 Park Avenue -- will be up and running by mid-1993 (TST, Feb. 24).
