Huntington Bank Picks OS/2, DR-One At 35-Position Room

Huntington National Bank is installing an OS/2-based version of BIS Banking Systems Inc.'s DR-one trading-room system at its Columbus, Ohio, headquarters. The regional bank plans later to roll out the system to remote users at branches of its Huntington Investments Co. broker/dealer unit for a total of around 50 positions.

The deal is the first for DR-one in the U.S. since the departure of BIS Trading Systems from the North American market late last year (TST, Dec. 16, 1991). The Huntington
