Quotron's Open Windows: Q1000 Data For PC Users

Bending rather than bowing to the inevitable, Quotron Systems Inc. released Open Windows, a "family" of PC applications that accesses real-time market data through Q1000 branch office systems.

The new products, introduced at a Sept. 27 press conference, extend the reach of UNIX-based Q1000 to DOS and OS/2 platforms, and offer a belated competitive response to value-added PC-based products like Reuters' ART 2000, and Knight-Ridder's Tradecenter.

Open Windows consists of three programs developed
