The recent US Congressional elections will have a knock-on effect for financial reguations, especially as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) prepare to implement the aspects of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act by July 2011, according to Gary Katz, CEO if the International Securities Exchange (ISE) at the Futures Industry Association's (FIA's) annual Chicago confernece today, Nov. 3.
