NZX Upgrades Clearing, Adds CCP

Due for rollout in the first quarter of next year, the new clearing platform is the TCS BaNCS system provided by Tata Consulting. "The production environment is expected to be Stratus fault-tolerant servers running Red Hat Linux," says Martyn Bain, head of IT projects at NZX. TCS BaNCS is replacing a legacy system that operates on Hewlett-Packard NonStop servers with terminal-based software and connectivity done via a proprietary interface, he adds.
