Nymex London Floor to Become a Hub?

LONDON—The European division of the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) is mulling a conversion of its London trading floor into a hub that would be used by traders for electronic trading, a source familiar with the situation tells DWT.

Last week, Nymex Europe officials confirmed that the firm was seriously considering closing its London open-outcry trading floor due to a lack of interest from market participants and falling volumes (DWT, March 13).
