WestLB Outsources to Hewlett-Packard

OUTSOURCING AND OFFSHORING

LONDON—Hewlett-Packard (HP) will support approximately 1,000 WestLB trading-related desktops as a result of a $500 million, five-year outsourcing deal.

Under the terms of the agreement, 450 WestLB staff will move onto the payroll of HP. However, there will be no physical relocation of staff, and most IT personnel at the bank will be doing the same job, just under a different employer. The deal will commence next January.
