Euronext Exchanges Delay Opening After Glitch

Trading on the New York Stock Exchange was not affected, and Caroline Tourrier, a NYSE Euronext spokeswoman, says trading on the European exchanges in question was restored by 10 a.m. Central European Time (CET).

The latest hold-up comes after a similar glitch in November 2012, caused by implementation of the exchange operator's new matching engine in New York, halted trading in 216 equities for a longer period and halved overall daily volume for the day.
