Rival Systems is based out of Chicago.

The solution helps brokerages, clearing firms, hedge funds, commodity trading advisors and proprietary trading firms to monitor risk and manage exposure across futures, options on futures, equities, equity options, cash treasury and foreign exchange markets.

Users can also view their profit and loss in real time, as well as create custom price and volatility market scenarios. They can also run options expiration reports to determine their risk exposure post-expiration across different market scenarios.

Specifically for prop shops, Rival Risk, which runs on HTML5, allows these firms to "incorporate into the market scenarios their traders' equity and split percentages, offering greater insight into capital usage and the firm's profit and loss for each group," according to a release.

Rival Risk can be accessed via any internet-enabled device, or users can host the system in their own environment, if they prefer.
