Interactive Data Conflates NYSE Feed


The new service, dubbed Essential Equities, provides NYSE Level 1 real-time quote and trade data, but conflates quote updates at one-second intervals to streamline the amount of data carried via the feed.

"The main issue on the bandwidth side for NYSE data is the Level 1 service, which peaks at just over 20 megabits [per second]. Using our Essential Equities Service, we can bring that down to just over 2 megabits [per second]," says Henk d'Hoore, head of product management in EMEA at Interactive
