Stephens To Test Arts As Part Of Platform Consolidation Project

Regional broker Stephens Inc. will test quote display software from American Real-Time Services Inc. (ARTS) for a planned quote- terminal platform for more than 350 positions at 40 sites nationwide. Stephens is considering implementing a single operating system platform for all broker applications -- including quote display -- in place of the dual-platform system from Quotron it currently uses.

Stephens, which uses Quotron's never-released Q5300 quote terminals, is preparing to run a pilot test
