NASDAQ Readies 'Digital Interface' Lan Server Pilot: Early 1989 Availability If All Goes Well

The local area network implementation of the NASDAQ Workstation could be generally available early next year if all goes well with a 4th-quarter pilot at San Francisco-based Hambrecht & Quist, Inc. The server -- called the NASDAQ Digital Interface -- will allow users local access to a large database of NASDAQ prices and provide a gateway back to NASDAQ for updates and trade reports.
