NYNEX/AGS Tests Wireless Paperless Floor Trading

AGS Computers, Inc., a subsidiary of NYNEX, is developing a wireless local area network that utilizes spread-spectrum technology, a microwave transmission scheme developed for military field operations.
A wireless LAN prototype with hand-held terminals is being tested at the American Stock Exchange, but a production model may be two years away. If implemented, portable trading terminals could revolutionize the way transactions are recorded on exchange floors.
