Internet Service Provider (With Brokerage Clients) Had Web Host Snafu

Internet service provider PSINet suffered a breach in one of its hosts late last month that left some of its clients, including some financial services companies, scrambling to get back online. On May 31, one of the vendor's East Coast-based hosts suffered accidental deletion of portions of some of the 270 World Wide Web sites it maintains. It could not be determined at press time which of PSINet's customers were impacted by the failure, and to what degree. But an independent Web-based search
