European Exchanges Ask Vendors To Build Data, Trading Network

The Federation of Stock Exchanges in the European Community is considering responses to a request for qualification (RFQ) inviting vendors to suggest "possible technologies and architectures" for a pan-European market data network to be known as Pipe. The network may eventually be used to support screen-based trading on participating exchanges.
