ASX Trims Latency with New Exchange Network

Operators of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) plan to roll out a new fiber optic network, dubbed ASX Net, replacing the exchange's existing ASX NiPPA network, according to exchange officials.

ASX Net was developed in conjunction with Australian network provider Pipe Networks and is slated to go live in September. The new and legacy networks will run in parallel during a phased cutover period, which will be completed in October, say officials.

Users connected to the new network will be able
