Equinix Opens Second Hong Kong Datacenter

Datacenter and hosting provider Equinix will this week unveil its second datacenter in Hong Kong, a US$63 million facility that will ultimately deliver space for 1,450 server cabinets, in response to increasing demand for hosted services and connectivity in Hong Kong and across the Asia-Pacific region.

The vendor designed and built the facility over the past year in a former warehouse in Hong Kong’s New Territories, close to its HK1 datacenter, where land prices are cheaper than in the city and
