Asean Exchanges Eye 2012 for Trading Link


CEOs of exchanges in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) today announced an updated launch schedule for the Asean Trading Link, a common platform for trading Southeast Asian stocks between the seven exchanges.

Member exchanges will participate progressively in stages. The first stage, in June 2012, will connect Singapore Exchange and Bursa Malaysia. The Stock Exchange of Thailand will be added in August 2012 after its new trading engine goes live, which had previously been planned
