HFN Completes Network Upgrade, Touts Performance Improvements

HFN's shortened route willl boost data delivery performance

Paramus, NJ-based network provider Hudson Fiber Network has completed a major upgrade to its fiber network in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area, enabling the vendor to improve the performance on all its routes between the region's major financial trading hubs.

HFN has decreased the length of its network by approximately 0.8km south of Mahwah, effectively shortening all paths from Mahwah to Equinix's NY4 facility at 755 Secaucus Road, Secaucus; 165 Halsey Street, Newark; the Verizon datacenter at 1400 Federal Boulevard in Carteret, NJ that houses Nasdaq's datacenter; Telx's datacenter at 300 Boulevard East in Weehawken; and the datacenter hub at 111 Eighth Avenue, in New York.
