Equinix Completes LD6 Datacenter Phase 2 Expansion

Datacenter provider doubles co-location capacity following £26 million investment.

Equinix gives V3 a tour of its new LD6 data centre in Slough

Equinix has invested £26 million ($38.1 million) to complete the second phase of LD6, adding 1,385 cabinets, bringing the total operational capacity of the datacenter to 2,770 cabinets.

The LD6 campus now provides more than 408,000 square feet (38,000 square meters) of co-location space interconnected by more than 1,000 diverse dark fiber links. In July, Equinix's EMEA president Eric Schwartz said LD6 would be limited to a build out of two phases, and that the facilities acquired in January
