Reuters Q3 Results In: Revenues Holding Well During Volatile Market

EARNINGS REPORT

LONDON--A ten per cent increase in underlying revenues for Reuters third quarter results boosted its share price by the same percentage on the day it announced its results last Thursday. In general, this reflected the market perception that results were stronger than expected.

The strong results were largely attributed by analysts to Instinet's revenue growth which increased to 27 per cent from 15 per cent in the second quarter. This, says Reuters, reflected growth in the volume of shares traded
