Horizon Software, Thomson Reuters Partner on Chinese Derivatives Platform

Collaboration to provide ‘one-stop-shop’ for Chinese quantitative derivatives trading, including market data.

Horizon Software is targeting further growth in the Asia-Pacific region through the China-focused platform.

The collaboration aims to provide a "one-stop-shop" for Chinese quantitative trading through the delivery of a new derivatives platform, which also includes market data from Thomson Reuters, connected to all Chinese exchanges. The platform comes in response to what Horizons calls "a strong demand for more sophistication in trade execution," although there are no current details on when it will launch.

"Our platform allows securities houses in China to trade exchange-traded fund (ETF) options, both locally and globally," said Clement Pelletier, Asia-Pacific sales director at Horizon, in a statement. "The platform provides connectivity to all the exchanges in China (SSE, CFFEX, Commodity Exchanges) so our clients have an excellent choice of trading venues."
