Oddie Man Out

Instinet’s John Oddie, CEO of global equities and the key architect of the company’s new trading platform, has left the organization on the eve of the firm’s IPO filing.

Although the IPO had been expected, Oddie’s departure is more of a surprise. A memo, distributed to employees to explain Oddie’s exit, referred to it as a "mutual decision."

A replacement for Oddie has not yet been named, nor has it been determined whether there will be one. In the meantime
