Multilateral trading facility (MTF) Bats Europe’s trading platform will move to Equinix's LD4 datacenter in London by October.
An ultra-fast link between Bats Europe's existing location and LD4 IBX is currently being installed to facilitate a rapid transition, with connectivity tests running up to the October date. The move will provide a low-latency environment for Bats Europe's dark and integrated electronic trading books.
Paul O'Donnell, COO of Bats Europe, says Equinix provided the type of hosting foundation Bats was looking for, and that housing the trading platform in the vendor’s facility would enable Bats to deliver a “compelling and attractive” offering to current and prospective clients.
