NSCC is a subsidiary of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC).

SunGard has announced the expansion of its SunGard Global Network (SGN) Funds software to ease global fund processing and distribution.

Part of the SGN Global Fund Trading Solution is the connectivity it offers to centralized fund processing platforms such as the National Securities Clearing Corporation's (NSCC) Fund/SERV. Clients will be able to access the platform's messages, to obtain and confirm trades, receive data, and access clearing and settlement.

"SGN Funds will help international fund companies reduce the manual effort of mutual fund trading by providing broader and more comprehensive trading services," says Bob Ward, chief operating officer in advisor and transaction services for SunGard's wealth management business. "By connecting to NSCC's Fund/SERV platform, SGN Funds will help provide quick access to a full range of services, eliminate proprietary technology development, and offer one of the fastest go-to-market solutions available for fund companies."
