Connecticut-based SS&C Technologies has teamed up with Abacus Group, a provider of hosted IT solutions for hedge funds and private equity funds, to provide investment firms hosting their platforms on the AbacusFLEX private cloud with a turnkey global FIX connectivity service that integrates with existing systems and functionality.
As part of the agreement, Abacus and SS&C offer Abacus clients a FIX service and access to a trading community with more than 350 brokers worldwide. SS&C's FIXLink FIX messaging community service supports mutliple asset classes and the full lifecycle of a trade and is pre-certified with over 30 trading platforms.
"Top-tier and emerging investment management firms alike require robust, reliable FIX connectivity in order to compete in today's markets," says Abacus CEO Chris Grandi. "This partnership enables us to offer our clients instant access to SS&C's FIXLink trading community over our secure and flexible private cloud, getting their trading platforms quickly wired to brokers and ready to trade without sacrificing performance, security or resiliency of their operations and technology."
